Skonflix Overview & Editorial Review
When a bizarre, unexpected event grants superhuman powers to a group of quirky, socially awkward, and seemingly flawed suburban neighbors in 1999, their quiet town of Haeseong is thrown into utter chaos. Led by an endearingly clumsy young woman named Eun Chae-gwang, who secretly gains extraordinary abilities while struggling with everyday life, this unlikely team of everyday citizens finds themselves forced to step up as unofficial neighborhood guardians. Despite having powers that are as unpredictable and inconvenient as they are impressive, the misfit group stumbles into a massive conspiracy involving corrupt local officials, strange supernatural anomalies, and dangerous shadowy operatives who seek to exploit the town's hidden secrets for total power. Balancing their chaotic personal lives, bizarre comedy, and sudden heroic duties, the ragtag crew must learn to master their erratic abilities, overcome their individual insecurities, and stand united as an unorthodox team of defenders to protect their beloved hometown from looming destruction.
