Skonflix Overview & Editorial Review
Following the heartbreaking loss of their beloved founder and mentor Professor Charles Xavier, the remaining members of the mutant team—including Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Jubilee, and Bishop—find themselves struggling to maintain Xavier's fragile dream of peaceful co existence between humans and mutants. The team's already tense dynamic is thrown into absolute disarray when their long time nemesis Magneto arrives at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters holding Xavier's final will and testament, which shockingly bestows complete control of the school and the leadership of the team directly upon the Master of Magnetism himself. Forced to unite under Magneto's surprisingly diplomatic leadership, the mutant heroes face growing anti mutant bigotry, radical political groups, and complex personal revelations, including the arrival of Madelyne Pryor and Storm losing her elemental abilities. However, their internal personal struggles pale in comparison to a catastrophic, jaw dropping attack on the mutant sanctuary island of Genosha orchestrated by the sinister cybernetic villain Bastion and his army of Prime Sentinels, forcing the shattered heroes to unleash the full force of their powers in a desperate, global war to prevent the total extinction of mutantkind.
